Storing energy using batteries is becoming an increasingly popular venture across the US thanks to a fall in battery prices and a demand to be as efficient as possible with energy supplies

The oil-rich state of Texas, US, is looking at using lithium-ion (Li-ion) batteries to store energy and help power its electrical grid, in a move away from fossil fuels.
