Western Lithium ships first order of drilling additive clay

The US-based producer has been ramping up production of its organic clay product to meet demand from its US distributor, Raw Materials Corp. With the first delivery completed, Western Lithium is looking to grow its position in the oilfield market by supplying the industry with its speciality drilling additive, having already sent samples to prospective customers.

US-based Western Lithium has shipped the first order of its drilling additive product, Hectatone, from its US production plant in Fernley, Nevada.

The order was delivered to specifications made by the company’s Houston-based distributor, Raw Materials Corp. (RMC), with which Western Lithium signed a distribution agreement in October.
