Lithium Americas’ demo plant produces six tonnes lithium compounds in one month

Lithium Americas have adopted South Korea-based POSCO’s extraction technology which it says is already exceeding expectations.

Lithium Americas Corp. (LAC) has produced six tonnes of lithium compound from its demo plant at the Cauchari-Olaroz project which has been running for a month in Jujuy, Argentina.

Canada-based LAC and South Korean steel producer POSCO have been working together on the lithium extraction technology since January 2014.
