China’s qualitative edge in the high-grade acidspar market

China’s dominance in the fluorspar market is not just confined to increased quantities at low cost, but also better qualities with lower impurities. Because of this Chinese higher grade spar material requires less processing when compared to other global supplies, IM Data learnt.

Chinese acid grade fluorspar (acidspar) has been shown to have fewer impurities, especially arsenic, silica and phosphorous content, which boosts its demand in the end markets, especially in the fluorochemical and fluorocarbons sectors.
