Healthcare strikes halt work at Asbury’s Anthracite Industries

Employees at Anthracite Industries, a Pennsylvania-based division of graphite materials supplier Asbury Carbons, have walked out over what they consider to be an unpalatable offer of employer health insurance contributions. The company has not said whether production has been affected.

Staff at Anthracite Industries, a division of US graphite supplier Asbury Carbons Inc., have gone on strike over the company’s health care provision, according to a report by the Sunbury Daily Item.
