Siemens selects Molycorp as rare earths supplier for wind turbine magnets

In a welcome break from consistently poor earnings results and processing difficulties, Molycorp has signed a supply agreement with a large international conglomerate operating in the high-tech industries in which rare earths are heavily used.

US-based rare earths miner Molycorp Inc. has been selected by German engineering conglomerate Siemens AG to supply materials for high efficiency, direct drive wind turbine generators.
