Cuban calcium carbonate and zeolite plant undergoes upgrade

Cuba does not currently have the mineral production capacity to support an export market, but this could change. Upgrading an existing calcium carbonate and zeolite plant to improve efficiencies is a step in the right direction for the country, which welcomes a UK trade mission this month.

Cuban state-funded mineral company Geominera has started repair works at its calcium carbonate and zeolite-producing plant in Cuba to enhance its capacity and efficiency.
