New US Soda Ash bill to maintain US global competitiveness

Reducing US government royalties on soda ash will keep US soda ash producers' balance sheets healthy, while allowing the US to maintain its soda ash market share overseas.

The US has introduced a bill that would allow US soda ash producers to remain competitive with China.

US house representative Paul Cook proposed on Thursday The American Soda Ash Competitiveness Act, which  would reduce government royalties on soda ash from 4% to 2% fixed for the next five years....
