IDTechEx: Reinventing the wheel: Graphene tyres can up racing bike performance

Switzerland-based Vittoria has launched a new range of graphene based bicycle tyres made using novel technology from Italian company Directa Plus, which it says has smashed existing performance standards in the industry and has the potential to be rolled out to other products.

Cycling professionals and enthusiasts are set to be the latest benefactors of graphene's revolutionary properties, with the release of a new range of premium tyres for competitive racing bikes that incorporate the atomic carbon material.
