Imerys sees 7.7% revenue growth thanks to S&B acquisition

Leading industrial minerals producer Imerys saw its revenue and operating income increase owing to the positive impact of its S&B acquisition, finalised earlier this year, and the effects of positive currency exchange. However, lower steel production and a drop in oil and gas exploration has hit its refractories and proppants business, the effects of which are likely to trickle into Q2.

Imerys SA posted revenue growth of 7.7% in Q1 2015, owing to the positive contribution of its recent acquisition of S&B and the impact of positive exchange rates.
