Sierra Rutile scoping study for Sembehun reveals low risk, efficient project

As the company transitions to a dry mining strategy, Sierra Rutile’s scoping study for Sembehun has confirmed it as a viable option for the company, with the potential add 74,000 tpa rutile production over a 19-year mine life. This and the company’s decision to proceed with its other dry mining project at Gangama reflects the Sierra Rutile’s expectations for improvements in the TiO2 feedstock industry and the need for future additional supply.

Titanium feedstock producer Sierra Rutile Ltd has published its scoping study for the Sembehun deposit in Sierra Leone, confirming the viability of a dry mining project at the site.
