Rouble depreciation helps PhosAgro grow EBITDA by 186%

The Russian agriminerals producer has benefitted from the weakening rouble and an improved pricing environment for Q1 2015, as it saw strong demand for its fertiliser products from Europe, India, China and Latin America.

PhosAgro has reported a 71% increase in revenues to Russian rouble (R) 50.2bn ($808m*) for the first quarter of 2015, helped by a strong phosphate pricing environment, denominated in US dollars, as well as falling fertiliser production costs in Russian roubles.
