Sand industry prepares for new silica exposure rule

While it remains unclear whether OSHA’s new PEL proposals will become law, members of the frac sand community have begun to prepare for tighter regulations. The National Industrial Sand Association has met to discuss the new standard while processing companies are making headway with new silicosis prevention measures.
