Indian mining auction kicks off with enhanced provisions

Nearly 105 mines in mineral-rich states of Chattisgarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha are set to be auctioned by the end of the year, while the Ministry of Mines makes provision for a ‘composite mining licence’. Further advancement is also likely in the sector as Indian mining department goes digital.

India’s mining industry is prepared to auction its first tranche off 105 mines in four different mineral-rich states – Chattisgarh, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Odisha.
