MTI releases new leonardite soil conditioner

Soil conditioners have a small market demand to the big potash, phosphate and nitrogen-based macronutrients, but MTI is looking to bring a leonardite-based supply of organic material to Chinese soils. The humic material within leonardite can increase the availability of soil nutrients.

New York, US-based Minerals Technologies Inc. (MTI) has launched a new leonardite-based, Enersol-branded soil conditioner for Chinese markets.

Comprised of oxidised lignite, itself an impure, water and gas rich-coal, leonardite finds use as a source of humic, or organic, soil...
