Orbite pushes back commercial production date for HPA plant

Commercial output at the company’s planned HPA facility will take a little longer to start than anticipated, as Orbite’s refractory installation process has run into delays. Orbite still anticipates commencement of commissioning in Q3 2015. The news comes as the firm receives more finance from the Quebec government.

Orbite Aluminae Inc. has said that it will push back the commercial production date for high purity alumina (HPA) plant in Quebec, Canada, from Q3 to Q4 2015 because of a delay in refractory installation work.
