Carbo’s proppant technology succeeds in deepest fracking well to date

As oil and gas prices remain low, E&P operators are looking to maximise their returns. Technology such as Carbo’s high conductivity and scale-inhibiting proppants could help address some issues faced by companies extracting oil and gas.

Proppant supplier Carbo Ceramics Inc. has applied two of its high conductivity proppant technologies in the largest and deepest wells for the technology to date at a well in the Gulf of Mexico’s Lower Tertiary trend.
