Morgan launches new solar crucible coating

Designed to enhance the properties of fused silica crucibles, Morgan’s new ceramic coating joins a string of new developments announced by the company this month.

UK-based materials engineering company, Morgan Advanced Materials has launched a new ceramic coating designed to enhance durability and avoid contamination in fused silica crucibles.

Haldenwanger HalCoat is made from two grades of silicon nitride (Si3N4) and can be applied to fused silica, silicon carbide and mullite bonded ceramic products.
