Preferred Sands' garnet RCS outperforms existing proppants by 90%

While activity in the oil and gas market remains subdued following the highs of 2014, proppant suppliers such as Preferred Sands are attempting to engineer increasingly innovative solutions to help increase conductivity, address operational issues faced by fracking companies and increase rates of return on products.

North American proppant supplier Preferred Sands has released the results of a study testing the effectiveness of its garnet resin-coated sand (RCS), which the company says demonstrates a higher performance than other products currently available.
