Chuanshan International gets green light to start diatomite mining in Kenya

The Chinese firm will be able to push ahead with plans to develop its diatomite project as it gains permission from Kenya’s environmental department to being mining in the mid-west region of the country.

China-based Chuanshan International Mining Co. Ltd has been given permission to mine diatomite in Baringo County, Kenya, by the government’s National Environment Management Authority (NEMA) as part of a scheme to increase economic development in the region, according to media reports.
