Canpotex to purchase 700 railcar units

By using an innovative design, Canpotex has increased its rail logistics capacity by 90% without adding new trains. The company has opted to continue purchasing the specialist railcar units from its partner since 1999, National Steel Car.

Canadian potash logistics and trading company Canpotex Ltd has selected Hamilton, Ontario-based National Steel Car to manufacture 700 new railcars, specifically designed to carry Saskatchewanian potash, to coastal ports.
