Production update: Fragile industrial markets have created a hostile demand environment causing prices and production to collapse; nevertheless the industry remains optimistic over emerging applications of high-end grade products

Sluggish steel growth, China’s industrial consolidation and fragile economic conditions pushed global natural graphite production to 768,800 tonnes for 2014, falling 25% from its 2011 peak.
