Orbite Technologies receives Australian patent for alumina processing kit

The Canadian company, which has recently rebranded, is spreading its geographical tentacles as it receives a patent from Australia for its chloride technology which can be used to transform red mud into a high value mineral feedstock by extracting all the valuable constituents, including rare earths and alumina.

TSX-listed Orbite Technologies Inc. has been granted patents for chloride technology, used to manufacture alumina and various other products, from Australia’s intellectual property rights office, IP Australia.

The patent entitles Orbite to the exclusive use of this invention until 16 September 2032.
