Flurochemical firms file US complaint against cheap Chinese imports

The American Hydrofluorocarbon Coalition and its members, including Mexichem Fluor Inc. and the Chemours Co., have filed an antidumping duty petition charging that unfairly traded imports of certain HFC blends and components are hurting the US domestic fluorochemicals sector.

Hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) producers operating in the US have filed a complaint to the US Department of Commerce and the US International Trade Commission (USITC) claiming that low-priced Chinese imports of HFC products, used in air conditioning and refrigeration, are causing material injury to the domestic fluorochemicals industry.
