PPG increases German coatings plant capacity by 35%

The US paint and coatings manufacturer has said that demand for waterborne coatings is growing in Europe driven by the automotive and industrial sectors. To meet the growing market, PPG has invested $5m in the expansion of its German coatings plant.

Pittsburgh, US-based paints and coatings manufacturer PPG Industries has completed a $5m expansion at its coatings manufacturing facility in Wuppertal, Germany.

The expansion facilitates a 35% increase in annual production capacity of the company’s environmentally sustainable waterborne coatings supplied to the automotive and industrial markets.
