CORFO rejects SQM’s $17m conciliatory offer in Atacama lease dispute

The lithium miner offered to pay the state development agency $17.1m to settle the disagreement over fees owed for mineral extraction rights in the Salar de Atacama, but CORFO declined the cash and is reportedly intent on rescinding the lease, meaning that arbitration proceedings will continue.
