Proppant prices weigh on Eagle Materials as construction minerals earnings stay flat

While inclement weather has lowered volumes, Eagle saw relatively flat income growth in its construction segments as prices held up. In the frac sand business, meanwhile, revenues were up y-o-y on the company’s CRS Proppants acquisition, but prices have fallen sharply q-o-q.

Dallas, US-based Eagle Materials Inc. has reported a nearly flat income growth figure of 0.14% on a year-on-year (y-o-y) basis for Q2 2015, with profits standing at $37.8m for the April-June period.
