India’s GHCL announces major soda ash expansion

The company indicated growth plans worth almost $150m in its soda ash production. It expects 5% growth per annum in the sector over the next three years.

Indian inorganic chemical and textile producer, GHCL Ltd has indicated it will spend Indian rupee (INR) 950 crore ($148.9m*) on expanding its soda ash production.

The two-phase project will consist initially of a 100,000 tonne expansion to be completed by Indian fiscal year 2017 at a cost of INR 375 crore...
