Entering the second half of what has been the worst year for natural graphite since recession hit the industry in 2008-2009, IM examines the pricing trends that have driven the market downfall and the further movements which may be seen in the near term.

The first half of 2015 saw many natural graphite prices fall to their lowest point since 2009, with prices for some grades sinking far below those seen during the financial crisis. Others, however, have shown greater resilience to the slump.
