Kenya mulls mineral analysis laboratory plan to benefit whole of East Africa

Kenya’s senate has recently passed the eagerly awaited mining bill. Following hot on the heels of this news, the country is now planning to build a mining and oil laboratory in its bid to quicken the development of the industry in Kenya and East Africa in its entirety.
The Kenyan government is considering
whether a $40m to $50m mineral and oil analysis laboratory that
would give the nation better access to its resources
information should be privately-run or state-operated.
The government plans to use this facility to service the
whole of East Africa, in order to help mining companies...
