Mining firms call on Madagascan government to speed up permit process

The African island nation is currently making plans to develop a new mining code. However, mining explorers are urging the government to unlock its mining potential by cutting red tape and expediting the permitting process.

Industrial mineral companies, such as Australian-headquartered Austral Resources and India-based Tirupati Carbons and Chemicals Ltd, are calling on the Madagascan government to speed up the mining permitting process in order to help the development of new mining operations.
