Senegal to get new investor-friendly mining code by year’s end

Senegal is on the verge of introducing its new mining code and is the latest African country to undergo extensive legislative mining reform to provide an attractive environment for direct foreign investment.

Senegal expects to enact a new mining code by the end of the year, which includes simplifying the types of mining titles available and lifting ownership restrictions on mining titles in order to make the country more attractive to investors.
