Fluorita Exportadora de Mexico forms JV with Minera Muzquiz

The Mexican fluorspar rivals have formed an alliance to bolster their operations, which they say will give the market more options for sourcing of raw materials.

Fluorspar producer Fluorita Exportadora de Mexico (FEM) has agreed to establish a joint venture (JV) with Mexican counterpart Minera Muzquiz to mine and beneficiate ore to produce low-arsenic grades of acid grade fluorspar (acidspar) from Mexico, primarily for export.
