Austrian amorphous graphite prices face downward revision

Amorphous graphite prices from Austria are under review as low-priced supplies from China stunt market movements, while the industry struggles to reverse the declining trend which began in 2012.

Amorphous graphite prices from Austria, one of the major suppliers of the material outside of China, are facing downward revisions after industry sources indicated that the market is likely to face further negative pressure entering 2016.

Sources told IM that Chinese suppliers have dropped their prices by a further $20-$30/tonne...
