Solvay opens largest sodium bicarbonate plant in Southeast Asia

The Belgian chemicals group’s new facility at an existing company site in Thailand will supply sodium bicarbonate to growing Asian healthcare, food and consumer goods market, as the company looks to exploit a niche for high quality materials and get closer to customers.

Belgian chemicals group Solvay SA has opened a new 100,000 tpa sodium bicarbonate plant in Thailand, the largest facility of its kind in Southeast Asia.
