Mechanical issues force PPG to halt glass production from California

Following lower Q2 glass segment sales, mechanical issues at PPG’s Fresno facility in California have now forced manufacturing to be put on hold with no indication of when production might be restarted, affecting both US and Canadian customers.

Pittsburgh, US-based glass and coatings manufacturer PPG Industries has halted operations at its flat glass manufacturing facility in Fresno, California owing to unanticipated mechanical production issues.
