Oil output expected to decline as August prices hit six-year lows

With oil production from non-OPEC locations expected to decline further in 2016, demand and prices for proppants such as frac sand and ceramic proppants are anticipated to remain weak at least for the remainder of the year.

Oil output from non-Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries (OPEC) member states is expected to plummet by 500,000 barrels per day (bbl/d) in 2016 following the sustained oil price decline in 2015.
