Tesla secures Nevada lithium source via Pure Energy deal

Pure Energy Minerals will supply lithium hydroxide to Tesla’s Gigafactory. The news follows speculation earlier this month that the electric vehicle producer would add a local producer to its growing supply portfolio, and has been welcomed by local politicians.

Pure Energy Minerals Ltd, a TSX-V-listed lithium explorer, will provide lithium hydroxide to electric vehicle (EV) market leader Tesla Inc. from its Clayton Valley brine site in Nevada, US, pending clearance of a number of hurdles.
