Cancana and JV partner aim to ramp up manganese production in 2016

Cancana, a Canadian explorer, and Ferrometals are to beef up their JV BMC manganese project next year, as they push towards their aim of becoming a primary domestic provider of agricultural-grade manganese in Brazil.

TSX-V-listed Cancana Resources Corp. and its joint venture (JV) partner Ferrometals BV, a private mining and metallurgical company, are to expand their manganese capacity from around 20,000 tpa to 50,000 tpa in 2016 after receiving an engineering audit report from consultancy firm Ausenco recommending that they to ramp up operations at their Jaburi plant,...
