Harbison Walker makes commitment to end Ohio lock-out

Workers at Harbison Walker’s Oak Hill facility, which produces clay refractory linings, have been locked out of their jobs since April due to an ongoing dispute with management. The company has said it is confident of a resolution as it plans to return to the negotiating table with union employees next month.

US-based refractories producer Harbison Walker International is aiming to resolve a dispute with workers at its Oak Hill facility, in Jackson, Ohio, over proposed changes to employment contracts, has said it will meet with United Steelworkers Union, which represents the employees, on 1 October.
