Ceramics quality control urged for China

China’s diverse supply of source materials for the ceramics industry is causing problems for high-end ceramics production, inducing unwanted properties and effects onto the glazes required by customers.

The lack of source material standardisation for the Chinese ceramics industry is holding it back owing to resultant quality fluctuations in end products, delegates attending the annual meeting of the China Non-Metallic Minerals Industry Association in Xi’an, Shaanxi, were told late last week.
