Canadian IP Office clears way for Orbite to obtain fly ash monetisation patent

The company is one step closer to obtaining a patent in Canada for its chloride technology which can be used to transform red mud and fly ash into a high value mineral feedstock by extracting all the valuable constituents, including rare earths and alumina.

Orbite Technologies Inc. has been advised by the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) that the patent application for its fly ash monetisation technology has been deemed allowable.

Consequently, the company has processed payment of the requisite fees and anticipates patent issuance within CIPO’s usual timeframe of 9-12 weeks....
