US dollar strength pushes Perlite Canada to loss

The company has suffered from foreign exchange movements over the summer, as it purchases its raw materials in expensive US dollars.

Montreal, Quebec-based Perlite Canada Inc. reported a net loss of Canadian dollar (C$) 180,595 ($134,659*) in its fiscal Q3 2015 results and blamed the poor performance on the strength of the US dollar.
