SQM directors fined $180,000

A number of current and former directors of Chilean lithium, potash and iodine miner SQM have been issued fines for failure to notify the market of information relating to tax expenses claims in March this year.

Five directors – two former and three serving – of Sociedad de Quimica y Minera SA (SQM) have each been issued fines of Chilean unit of account 'unidad de fomento’ (UF) 1,000, or $36,000.
