Rio Tinto’s borates, TiO2 and salt production all down in first three quarters of 2015

Production figures for the first nine months of 2015 for borates, TiO2 and salt at the mining giant all fell along with a significant drop off in copper production. Its coal and iron ore output conversely picked up.

Global mining behemoth the Rio Tinto Group has reported declines in production of borates, titanium dioxide (TiO2) and salt, as the malaise that continues to envelop the mining sector weighed on the company’s operations.
