Imerys states case for Andalusite Resources takeover

The two companies are half way through proceedings in their appeal against a Competition Commission decision to prohibit their merger. The Competition Tribunal hearing in Pretoria has currently been adjourned until 20 October for both sides to organise their remaining submissions.

French industrial minerals giant Imerys SA has laid out its case for merging with South Africa’s Andalusite Resources in a court in Pretoria, as part of an appeal against a Competition Commission (CompComm) ruling against the deal.
