PotashCorp cuts production and revises guidance on weak fertiliser market

The North American potash, phosphate and nitrogen producer has revised down its expectations for the global fertiliser market in light of poor H2 conditions, with plans to cut production in line with market demand as North American shipments are anticipated to remain below 2014 levels.

North American fertiliser producer Potash Corp. of Saskatchewan Inc (PotashCorp) saw its net income fall to $282m in the third quarter of 2015, down from $317m for the same period the previous year, owing to a weaker fertiliser environment in the second half of 2015.
