External growth delivers 11% revenue rise for Imerys despite plunge in proppants

The French industrial minerals behemoth delivered revenue growth from acquisitions but its CEO conceded that the company has had a “difficult” year so far, led by declines in its oilfield business and slowing demand from some key geographies.
Imerys SA’s
CEO Gilles Michel today described the demand environment for
industrial mineral products as "sluggish and lacklustre",
pointing to particular weakness in the oilfield and European
construction markets.
