Twelve Chinese graphite companies fined for pollution in Jixi

The companies have been issued with penalties of up to $40,000 for environmental infringements following a government probe. Measures have since been taken by the companies to correct the various violations.

China’s Ministry of Environmental Protection has fined 12 graphite companies for causing environmental damage to the areas around their production facilities as part of an operation that has seen 32 cases of environmental mismanagement taken by the authorities.
