FLSmidth earnings fall into loss as mining capex cuts continue

With market conditions in the mineral mining industry continuing to decline, an increasing amount of miners are announcing capacity shut downs, while downward pressure on commodity prices is forcing producers to cut capex spending.

Danish technology provider FLSmidth saw its earnings recede into a net loss over the third quarter of 2015 as the market for mining equipment remained challenging.

Loss for the period was reported at Danish krone (DKr) 84m ($12.13*), down from a profit of DKr 215m in Q3 2014. Total revenue...
